Bee

Connect Bee from an Apple Watch or Bee wearable. Both sync to the same Bee account, so your helper gets the same finished conversations and facts.

Works with Bee

Apple Watch or Bee wearable

You can download Bee – Your Personal AI for iPhone and Apple Watch without buying a Bee wearable. If you have a Bee wearable, it uses the same Bee app and account. For 1Helm, setup and sync work the same way: connect your Bee account once, then finished conversations and facts reach your helper regardless of which device captured them.

Connect your Bee account

  1. In 1Helm, open Settings → Ambient → Bee and tap Connect.
  2. In the Bee app, turn on Developer Mode: update the app, open Settings, and tap Version 5 times until Developer appears.
  3. In the Bee app, open Developer → Connect App, then scan the QR code 1Helm shows, or tap the keypad icon and paste the pairing ID (on a phone, use Copy). The code renews itself if it expires.
  4. Tap Connect in the Bee app. Within a few seconds 1Helm shows Connected as your name.

The Bee app calls this connection "Bee CLI". That's expected. Your Bee access is sealed in 1Helm and never shown to your helper or the app.

What your helper gets

  • Conversations: when a conversation finishes, its summary goes into General's memory and the full transcript is saved to your storage. It checks every few minutes while things are happening and less often when it's quiet; Sync now checks right away.
  • Facts: facts Bee has confirmed come in as From Bee notes in your Notebook. New ones wait in a New from Bee stack with Approve, Edit, Deny and Skip. Editing or deleting a From Bee note changes it in your Bee too.
  • Live notes: pick Your Bee when you start Live notes.

Bee's summaries and facts reach your helper through General's memory and the Notebook. Ambient recall separately indexes saved speech into source-backed tasks, ideas, reminders and other useful records, and keeps the original words available for lookup. Ask naturally in General; other channels keep their own notes.

Import past conversations

Settings → Ambient → Bee → Import past conversations: pick the last 30, 60 or 90 days, or all of them. 1Helm counts first and shows about how many conversations, how long and what it will cost; nothing imports until you press Start. It goes newest first, never imports the same conversation twice, and you can pause, resume or cancel. Past imports are listed below it.

Privacy

  • Connecting gives 1Helm access to your Bee data. 1Helm keeps copies in your memory and storage, under 1Helm's Privacy Policy, and deletes them like any other data.
  • Bee says it doesn't store audio, and that transcripts are encrypted with keys held on your devices and processed in confidential computing audited by Trail of Bits. See Bee's privacy notice.

Disconnect

Tap Disconnect in Settings → Ambient → Bee and choose whether to keep or remove the memories that came from Bee. To take 1Helm out of the Bee app too, open Developer there and delete "Bee CLI". If you remove access from the Bee app first, 1Helm shows Needs reconnect.

What it costs

Syncing and imports are billed like other usage, at cost plus 15%. Keeping an idle Bee in sync costs about 2¢ a month.
