Use your own Composio account

Optional. If you'd rather your app connections live in an account only you control, pick Self-managed. It's free and takes a couple of minutes.

Should you?

Most people should stay on Managed: it runs on 1Helm's Composio account and there's nothing to set up. Pick Self-managed if you already use Composio, or you want your connections in your own account, where you can see every app and action in your own Composio dashboard and they stay yours if you leave 1Helm.

Self-managed doesn't have three things: calling an app's own API, attaching Library files to app actions, and jobs that run when something happens. Your helper offers another way when one comes up.

Sign in with Composio

On the last step of signing up, pick Self-managed, tick the box, and tap Sign in with Composio. Already set up? Use Settings → Connected accounts → How apps connect and choose Self-managed. Composio opens in a new tab:

  1. Click Sign up under the sign-in buttons (or sign in, if you have an account).
  2. Choose Google, GitHub or email. Google and GitHub are quickest.
  3. With email, create a password of at least 10 characters and hit Confirm, then enter the 6-digit code from your email.

Come back to the 1Helm tab. It notices you've signed in and shows ✓ Connected as your account. If it doesn't, tap I've signed in, check again. Then Open 1Helm.

Connect your apps

Connecting an app works the same way as before, except Composio's own page opens in a new tab. Finish there, come back to 1Helm, and the app shows as connected.

If the sign-in ends

If your Composio sign-in ends, your apps stop working until you sign in again. Your helper shows a Reconnect Composio card, and Settings shows Sign in again. Switching back to Managed is in the same place; you reconnect each app once on the new side.

Try it

Open Settings → Connected accounts and find How apps connect. Note which side you're on.
