Hand off the repeat stuff

Routines are tasks that repeat. You set one up the same way you'd ask for anything else: in plain words.

Ask for it to repeat

Every Friday at 4, check the shared calendar and text me anything the kids have next week.

Your helper repeats back the schedule in plain words. Each run's result comes back to the same task.

Watching for changes

Some routines are about waiting: "tell me if this flight drops under $400", "let me know when the passport status changes". These check at set times, like every hour, and only bother you when there's news. Quiet checks barely use your plan.

Or when something happens

A job can start from an event in one of your apps instead of a clock:

When I get an email from the school, add anything with a date to my list.

It runs only when that happens, at most 10 times an hour, and doesn't message you unless you ask it to. See When something happens.

Find it in Scheduled

Open Scheduled in the side panel. Repeats lists your routines with Pause, Resume and Stop. When something happens lists the jobs that run on app events. Coming up has one-time follow-ups, and Send later has messages you've timed to send.

Good first routines

  • A Monday summary of anything due this week
  • A price watch on something you're about to buy
  • "Sort my newsletters and send me the three worth reading"
  • A reminder to reorder something before it runs out
Try it

Set up one routine that would save you a weekly chore, then find it in Scheduled.
