Text it from anywhere

Once texting is on, your helper is in your pocket. Text it in line at the store, in the car (when parked!) or from the couch.

Turn it on

Settings → Texting → Set up. Enter your US cell number, create the free texting account we walk you through, then text the 6-digit code to the number on the page. Your helper texts back with a contact card. Save it.

What to text

  • Quick asks: "what time does Costco close?"
  • Hand-offs: "book a dentist cleaning next week, mornings"
  • Answers: when it texts "Pay the $142 bill?", just reply "yes"
  • Photos and documents: a receipt, a form, a flyer

Where texts go

All your texts land in General, in one task called "Text with" your helper's name, under Texts. On an iPhone you get tappable cards and tapbacks; Android phones get plain text messages.

Or add it to your home screen

Prefer the app? Tap Install 1Helm app in Settings (or add 1Helm to your phone's home screen) and it opens full screen, like an app. From there you can turn on notifications in Settings → Notifications.

Try it

Text your helper one thing you'd normally write on a sticky note.
