# 1Helm > 1Helm is a personal AI helper with memory, channel-specific computers (a terminal and browser), connected apps, scheduled work and meeting notes. This guide describes the hosted service and links separately to the self-hosted software. Reading this website: This is public product documentation, not an authenticated workspace API or an agent tool server. No account or JavaScript is needed to read these resources. Documentation does not grant permission to access a user's workspace or act in their accounts. - [Public resource index](https://1helm.com/resources.json): a site-specific JSON catalog of page titles, descriptions, canonical HTML URLs and Markdown URLs; not a standardized agent protocol. - [Combined documentation](https://1helm.com/llms-full.txt): the public product pages in one Markdown-formatted text file. Prefer individual pages for a focused answer. - [Sitemap](https://1helm.com/sitemap.xml): canonical public HTML pages. - [Documentation search index](https://1helm.com/docs/search.json): titles, sections and searchable text used by the website's docs search. The home page's text is at https://1helm.com/index.md. Other documented pages replace their trailing slash with .md: https://1helm.com/docs/apps/ → https://1helm.com/docs/apps.md. The resource index enumerates supported copies; error pages and app workspaces are not part of this collection. Cite the canonical web page linked in each copy. These are build-time documents; follow the current linked page for changing prices, availability or policies. Product facts and limits: - Hosted access: a modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone; browser installation is available where supported and still needs the internet. This is not a claim of native app-store availability. See [access and texting](https://1helm.com/docs/reaching.md). - The catalog lists 1,520 apps, including built-in services and apps requiring a connected account. Availability, authentication and permissions vary; a catalog entry does not mean an account is connected. See [apps](https://1helm.com/apps.md) and [machine-readable catalog](https://1helm.com/apps.json). - Tasks, memory, files, routines and plans are described in the docs below. Live notes needs a selected recording source and permission; Bee is optional. Ambient recall can miss or misunderstand speech, keeps sources reviewable, and captured reminders are not automatically scheduled notifications. - Custom MCP connections are experimental and off by default, where available; this website does not expose a public MCP server. See [custom MCP limits](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/custom-mcp.md). - Hosted plans are billed monthly in USD: Personal $30 ($20 usage, 100 GB), Plus $50 ($40 usage, 250 GB), Power $90 ($80 usage, 500 GB), Max $170 ($160 usage, 1 TB). Usage is metered at cost plus 15%, not unlimited. Extra storage is $2/month per 100 GB. See [pricing](https://1helm.com/pricing.md). - The $10/month own-AI-key plan includes 100 GB but no usage allowance. The AI provider bills separately; hosted computer, browser, web search and memory require credits. See [own-key billing and privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/billing/byok.md). - Texting requires setup, the user's Photon account and a US phone number. AI-provider privacy choices have provider-specific limits, especially with your own key. Consult [privacy](https://1helm.com/privacy.md), [AI data privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/ai.md) and [approvals](https://1helm.com/docs/approvals.md); do not infer blanket guarantees. - The hosted subscription and [self-hosted software](https://1helm.com/docs/open-source.md) are separate offerings. The current public edition deploys to your own Cloudflare account, with infrastructure and AI usage billed separately. Its core is AGPL-3.0-only; separately licensed cloud-feature components are disabled in public installs. Hosted features and pricing are not a promise of self-hosted feature parity. ## Service status - [Live status](https://status.1helm.com): service timelines and monitoring observations. - [Status JSON](https://status.1helm.com/api/data): public monitoring data. Check HTTP success, updatedAt (Unix seconds), stale, and each monitor's up value. up can be true, false or null; null, missing data or stale observations mean unknown, not healthy. The global up/down counts alone do not establish freshness. Checks are limited availability probes of the website, app entry point, app API/gateway, account database and file storage. A green probe does not verify every user journey, tenant, login, AI provider or data write. Fetch status when needed; this static documentation is not a current health report. ## Start here - [1Helm: a helper that remembers how you work, with a computer of its own](https://1helm.com/index.md): 1Helm gives you a helper that remembers how you work, has its own computer, works in 1,500+ apps and texts you back. Or $10 a month with your own AI key. - [1Helm apps](https://1helm.com/apps.md): 1,520 apps your 1Helm helper can work in: email, calendars, docs, payments, shopping, travel and more. Search by name or category and see what your helper can do in each. - [Compare personal AI helpers](https://1helm.com/compare.md): Compare 1Helm with Dot, Gemini Spark, Grok Bot, Instinct, Muse, OpenClaw and Poke across conversation, tools, control and privacy. - [Trust and security](https://1helm.com/trust.md): How 1Helm protects your work: encrypted in transit and at rest, private AI defaults, approvals and clear controls over your data. - [Apps as JSON](https://1helm.com/apps.json): every app with how it connects and example actions - [1Helm FAQ](https://1helm.com/faq.md): Answers to common questions about 1Helm: what it does, apps, privacy, plans and billing, texting and meeting notes. ## Docs - [Your helper and channels](https://1helm.com/docs/helpers.md): You have one helper. Channels keep it focused on one part of your life at a time, each with its own notes, files and computer. - [The app and texting](https://1helm.com/docs/reaching.md): Use 1Helm in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone, install it like an app, or text your helper like a friend. - [Settings and your account](https://1helm.com/docs/settings.md): Everything you can set lives in Settings. Here's what each part is for. - [Tasks](https://1helm.com/docs/tasks.md): Every request is a task: one conversation about one thing. Tasks show what your helper is doing, what's ready and what's waiting on you. - [Plans and brain dumps](https://1helm.com/docs/plans.md): Pour out everything on your mind in one message. Your helper splits it into separate tasks and shows you a plan to approve first. - [While it works](https://1helm.com/docs/working.md): Watch every step, add to what you asked, or stop it. Choose whether costly, long or repetitive work pauses to check spending. - [Memory](https://1helm.com/docs/memory.md): Your helper keeps a Notebook. It writes down what it learns while it works, so you don't repeat yourself. - [Background memory](https://1helm.com/docs/memory/background.md): Between conversations, your helper tidies its memory on its own. It never messages you, and every note has to match something you actually said. - [Contacts](https://1helm.com/docs/contacts.md): Your address book, shared by every channel, so “my sister” or “Dana” means the same person everywhere. - [Library](https://1helm.com/docs/library.md): Every file your helper makes, downloads or receives lands in the Library, ready to read, and you can share any of them with a link. - [Routines and Scheduled](https://1helm.com/docs/routines.md): Ask once and your helper keeps doing it on a schedule. Plain words are enough. Everything scheduled is in one place. - [Asking first and permissions](https://1helm.com/docs/approvals.md): Your request authorizes ordinary app work. Payments and API keys stay protected, and you can choose stricter permissions. - [Its computer and the web](https://1helm.com/docs/computer.md): Each channel has a private computer with a real web browser. Your helper also searches the web and looks up live prices and availability. - [Skills](https://1helm.com/docs/skills.md): Skills are playbooks your helper reads before a kind of job, so it does that job the same careful way every time. You can save your own, too. - [Notifications and help](https://1helm.com/docs/notifications.md): Get a notification when a task needs you, when one finishes, or when a meeting is about to start, and reach us from inside the app. - [Location and microphone](https://1helm.com/docs/location.md): 1Helm asks once for your location and microphone, so your helper knows what's near you and you can talk instead of type. Both are optional. - [Live notes](https://1helm.com/docs/ambient/live-notes.md): Your helper takes meeting notes as the conversation happens, from this device's microphone, a meeting tab, or your Bee, and saves them to your Library. - [Bee](https://1helm.com/docs/ambient/bee.md): Connect Bee from an Apple Watch or Bee wearable. Both sync to the same Bee account, so your helper gets the same finished conversations and facts. - [Ambient recall](https://1helm.com/docs/ambient/recall-preview.md): Turn saved Bee speech into source-backed tasks, ideas, memories and reminders without losing the original words. - [Connecting apps](https://1helm.com/docs/apps.md): Connect the apps you already use so your helper can work in them directly. Most connect in one click. - [Custom MCP connections](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/custom-mcp.md): Experimental: connect your own public HTTPS tool server from Settings → Advanced, where available. - [Managed or Self-managed](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/managed.md): Both options use Composio, the sign-in service 1Helm uses for apps. The only difference is whose account it runs on. Both are free, and you can switch any time. - [When something happens](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/events.md): Ask your helper to do something each time something happens in one of your apps, like a new email from someone. It runs only then, and stays quiet unless you asked to hear. - [Files and apps](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/files.md): Your helper can attach your files to app actions and save files from your apps into your Library. - [Google](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/google.md): Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets and more. Each Google app connects on its own, so you share only what you want. - [Canva](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/canva.md): Your helper can open your Canva designs, change the text and photos, and export the result. - [Stripe](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/stripe.md): See payments, payouts and invoices, and draft new invoices for your OK. - [Notion](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/notion.md): Read and update pages and databases in your Notion workspace. - [Plans and usage](https://1helm.com/docs/billing.md): Every plan is a monthly price that includes usage. Each step up doubles the usage of the one before. - [Use your own AI key](https://1helm.com/docs/billing/byok.md): Already pay for an AI service? Plug it in: on the $10 plan, or as a backup on the plan you have. The quickest way is Sign in with OpenRouter. - [Cancel or delete](https://1helm.com/docs/billing/cancel.md): Cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Delete means delete. - [Privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy.md): Your helper works for you. Just you. - [Share diagnostic data](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/diagnostics.md): Optional, email-confirmed access that helps 1Helm investigate a chat without asking you to copy it out. - [AI data privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/ai.md): Choose how AI providers may use your requests: Unrestricted, No Training or Zero Data Retention. Every plan has all three. - [Sentinel](https://1helm.com/docs/security/sentinel.md): Sentinel is on by default. It requires HTTPS for every external web request from the computer, keeps saved keys behind stand-ins, and applies your web permissions outside the computer. - [Open source and self-hosting](https://1helm.com/docs/open-source.md): Deploy the open-source core to your own Cloudflare account, with your own AI provider and infrastructure costs. ## Learn - [Meet your helper](https://1helm.com/learn.md): In this first lesson you'll set up your helper, give it one real thing to do, and see why it remembers what it learns. - [Tell it how you work](https://1helm.com/learn/tell-it-how-you-work.md): Your helper learns on its own, but a few minutes of telling it how you like things done pays off for months. - [Hand off the repeat stuff](https://1helm.com/learn/hand-off-the-repeat-stuff.md): Routines are tasks that repeat. You set one up the same way you'd ask for anything else: in plain words. - [Let it into your apps](https://1helm.com/learn/let-it-into-your-apps.md): Connecting Google, Canva and the rest means your helper works right in your files, so you don't have to copy and paste. - [Use your own Composio account](https://1helm.com/learn/use-your-own-composio.md): Optional. If you'd rather your app connections live in an account only you control, pick Self-managed. It's free and takes a couple of minutes. - [Text it from anywhere](https://1helm.com/learn/text-it-from-anywhere.md): Once texting is on, your helper is in your pocket. Text it in line at the store, in the car (when parked!) or from the couch. - [Let it take the notes](https://1helm.com/learn/let-it-take-the-notes.md): Live notes turns any task into meeting notes while the conversation happens, so you can listen instead of type. - [Stay in control](https://1helm.com/learn/stay-in-control.md): Your helper does a lot on its own. Here's how you stop it, slow it down, and keep an eye on what it costs. ## Legal - [Privacy Policy](https://1helm.com/privacy.md): What 1Helm collects, how it's used, who handles it, how long it's kept, and your choices. - [Terms of Service](https://1helm.com/terms.md): The terms for using 1Helm and 1helm.com. ## Optional - [Sign up](https://app.1helm.com/onboard): create an account and pick a plan - [Sign in](https://app.1helm.com/): the app - [Support](mailto:support@1helm.com): email - [Self-hosted source](https://github.com/gitcommit90/1Helm): Cloudflare edition; AGPL-3.0-only core, separately licensed cloud-feature components
