## Our promises

- **Zero data retention by default for your helper.** Unless you pick No Training or Unrestricted in Settings, only AI providers that don't keep what they're sent handle your helper's requests. The separately consented diagnostic tools below are not governed by that setting.
- **Diagnostic access is your choice.** [Share diagnostic data](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/diagnostics/) is off by default. It lets 1Helm read filtered, retained account data and evaluate it with support and AI tools it chooses, including non-ZDR tools, only after you enable it and confirm by email.
- **1Helm does not sell your data or train on it.** We don't sell your chats or files, use them for advertising, or ourselves train AI models on them. Separately consented diagnostic support and AI tools follow their own terms, including any permitted model improvement or training.
- **Workspace deletion is permanent.** Deleted workspace records cannot be recovered from 1Helm. Deletion does not by itself erase information already received by diagnostic support or AI tools under their own retention/deletion practices.

While [your own AI key](https://1helm.com/docs/billing/byok/) is in use (on the $10 plan, or as a backup after your usage runs out), the AI part goes to your own provider under their terms. Which AI providers handle your requests also follows your [AI data privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/ai/) choice in Settings. ## Your apps

App sign-ins and the actions your helper takes in them go through Composio, which connects 1Helm to your apps. 1Helm never sees your app passwords. With [Self-managed](https://1helm.com/docs/apps/managed/), they run on your own Composio account, where you can see and remove them yourself. Composio holds sign-in tokens to act for you and, on our plan, keeps copies of app requests and responses for up to a year; never used for ads, selling or AI training. Your helper reads your apps only when a task needs them, and treats what's in them as information, never as instructions.

## Your memory

Background memory saves only what your own words back up, and never messages you. Passwords, keys, card and ID numbers and one-time codes are removed before anything is saved to memory. Ask your helper to forget something and it's deleted from memory and not learned again. See [Background memory](https://1helm.com/docs/memory/background/).

## Your passwords and keys

Saved logins and keys are stored encrypted, apart from your chats and files. Once saved, they can't be shown again, not to you and not to your helper. 1Helm types a saved password only into that site's own secure sign-in page. Saved keys reach your helper's computer only as stand-ins; see [Sentinel](https://1helm.com/docs/security/sentinel/).

## Your money

Purchases use one-time card numbers you approve in Link. Your helper never sees your card. See [Asking first](https://1helm.com/docs/approvals/).

## Your voice and meetings

Your microphone is used only when you tap it, for dictation or [Live notes](https://1helm.com/docs/ambient/live-notes/). The recording is turned into text and isn't stored. Live notes are saved as a file in your Library, which you can delete like any other.

## Your location

Only if you allow it: a rough location, rounded to about 1 km, and only the latest one is kept. See [Location and microphone](https://1helm.com/docs/location/).

## Your Bee

If you connect a [Bee](https://1helm.com/docs/ambient/bee/), 1Helm keeps copies of its conversations and facts in your memory and storage. Disconnecting asks whether to keep or remove them.

## What you control

Edit or delete anything in the Notebook, Contacts and Library. Disconnect any app. Remove any saved login or key. Turn texting, location or your Bee off. Choose how often your helper asks first in [Settings → Permissions](https://1helm.com/docs/approvals/#permission-levels), and which AI providers may handle your requests in [AI data privacy](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/ai/).

You can enable or disable [Share diagnostic data](https://1helm.com/docs/privacy/diagnostics/) in **Settings → Advanced**. This is a separate choice from AI data privacy.
