# Cancel or delete

> Cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Delete means delete.

## Cancelling

Go to **Settings → General → Cancel plan**. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. We send reminders before it ends. When it ends, your account and all its data are permanently deleted, with no way to recover them. Changed your mind before then? Tap **Keep my plan**.

## If a payment fails

1Helm is read-only right away. Your data is kept until the end of the period you paid for, then for 7 more days, and then permanently deleted unless the payment is fixed. See [If a payment fails](https://1helm.com/docs/billing/#if-a-payment-fails).

## No trials, no refunds

There are no free trials, and cancelled plans aren't refunded, in full or in part.

## Deleting your account

**Settings → General → Delete account**, then type "delete my account" to confirm. Everything goes for good: messages, files, memory, schedules, connected apps, texting and billing.

## Deleting a chat or channel

Use ⋯ on a task to delete it, or delete a whole channel by typing its name. Deleted means gone for good.
